The Founder…Passion and Inspiration

In 2017, in Al Khobar Saudia Arabia, where Hisham Anas introduced the warmth of Egyptian hospitality to the Gulf. Embarking on his journey by bringing together his core team and reshaping their entire approach to food. He was determined to shift the prevailing mindset from “Good food is a talent” to “Good food is a process rooted in consistency.” Born from Hisham’s love for Egyptian culture and culinary heritage came Shajarrat Al Durr.

With strict adherence to standardized recipes and an unwavering commitment to food health and safety standards, Hisham launched his first restaurant—introducing the now-signature concept of Open Operations: a transparent kitchen model that has since become the benchmark across all Shajarat Al-Durr branches worldwide.

Rejecting traditional marketing tactics, Hisham chose instead to “walk the talk,” dedicating his full attention to the preparation process. His focus was clear: to deliver a culinary experience that is unmatched in both quality and taste.

I look at success like looking at a triangle with three sides, “Believe in what you are doing, do it with love and don’t lose sight of your goal” I have reached this conclusion after many years in hospitality and my advice to anyone thinking of creating a start up would be, “Don’t go looking for financial rewards in the beginning and don’t look at ways to cut corners, be disciplined and consistent and you will succeed”
